Yes, that is Lannie Rose's picture on the cover of LANNIE!. The first thing you notice when you meet Lannie in person, is that she is a beautiful woman. Even her voice is completely feminine. As you speak with her, you are struck by her innocence and sense of humor-but you soon realize there is a lot of intelligence there, too. You are amazed by her candor. She is happy to answer anything you ask, and she never takes offense, no matter how personal the question. And no matter how tough the topic, she never loses her positive attitude and sunny disposition. Lannie is a fresh face and a fresh voice that the camera and the microphone simply love.
Lannie received an electrical engineering degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University. She recently earned a technical writing certificate from De Anza College in Cupertino, California, and she works as a writer at a small technical marketing firm. She has been a regular contributor to the e-zine Transgender Forum, and she is a member of the Triangle Speaker bureau, a Santa Cruz organization that sends GLBT panels to schools and other organizations to teach tolerance by sharing their personal stories. Lannie previously published How To Change Your Sex: A Lighthearted Look at the Hardest Thing You'll Ever Do, a popular handbook for transitioning transsexual women and men. She can speak from personal experience and research with numerous transgender people about all aspects of transgender culture and the process of a sex change. She is particularly interested in the topic of same-sex marriage, or "gender-neutral" marriage as she prefers to call it.
See the Contact page for Lannie's availability for book signings and lectures.
